UPCOMING MEETINGS AND EVENTS

Tahoe Truckee Child Abuse Prevention Council meets the First Thursday of each month from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Please note that the location will change each month. 

The Tahoe Truckee Perinatal Outreach Team meets the second Wednesday of each month from 9:00 to 11 a.m. at the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Office.

Council Meetings

The Tahoe Truckee Child Abuse Prevention Council meets monthly on the first Thursday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  Meeting locations vary.  Meetings are open to the public.

Programs

The Tahoe Truckee Child Abuse Prevention Council funds a variety of child abuse prevention programs in the Tahoe Truckee community, including mandated reporter training, parenting and staff education, and community awareness campaigns.

In 2016-17, the Council funded the Spanish translation of a video about the Family Strengthening model’s Five Protective Factors.  The video was created by the 2016-17 Tahoe Truckee cohort of the  On The Verge leadership program.

About

The Tahoe Truckee Child Abuse Prevention Council is a program of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation.  The Council’s activities are funded by the Children’s Trust Fund in both Placer and Nevada Counties. The Council’s activities include providing funding for parenting classes, staff training and community education as well as advocating for child abuse prevention strategies across the region.

COUNCIL LEADERSHIP

The Council is open to anyone who would like to join or attend its meetings.  Voting members of the Council elect the leaders.
